THE ART OF FINDING LOST THINGS
working title. but a story about friends and finding home!
GENERAL PLOT
Marjorie has always lived in the Hallway. It's a happy enough place, but nothing ever changes; the doors are always closed, the windows always black. No news from outside ever comes in. And yet one day, curiosity gets the better of her. Marjorie picks a lock and slips out into the darkness only to discover that there isn't much darkness. Instead she finds herself in a busy city, and she is lost and alone. She eventually meets Seval, a former train conductor and current astronomist. Marjorie is scared and determined to get back home, so together she and Seval begin investigating the hallway, which no one has ever heard of. Seval is secretly really obsessed with solving the Train Incident case, a case in which a train got lost and completely vanished from the tracks. He feels responsible as a former train conductor; in fact he was supposed to drive that train and was sick that day. He feels if he was there, it could have all been avoided. And yet what neither of them know is that the train and the Hallway might actually be more related than they'd thought....
